Cup O' Joy Picnic

Every summer First Presbyterian Church and the Cup O' Joy Christian Music Venue/Coffee House provide a free picnic meal.

Ecumenical Partnership for Housing (EPH)

First Presbyterian Church is actively involved with the Ecumenical Partnership for Housing program or EPH.

As faith calls us to minister to our neighbors in need, the First Presbyterian Church in partnership with other Brown County churches and the Salvation Army provides transitional housing for homeless families with children.

EPH has helped more than 200 families; including 400 children move on to better circumstances since the group's inception in 1992.

The church provides both Board Representatives and a Home Coordinator for the Luke House that is located on Harvard Street.  The Board Members give leadership and direction for the program.  The Home Coordinator readies the home, stocks the cupboards, and delivers a welcome meal to each new family.

Through dedicated volunteers, the church has been instrumental in helping families to change their lives, breaking a tragic cycle of homelessness and poverty.

Food Pantry

The Presbyterian Pantry is located in Banner Hall downstairs from the sanctuary at First Presbyterian Church.  The Pantry is open the second and fourth Tuesdays of the month from 10:00am to 12:00pm.  The Pantry offers staples and extras as we are able.  Our recipients receive hot dogs, margarine, a bag of staples, bread and extra items each pantry time.

We service all denominations including many neighborhood families.

As God blesses us, let us help you!

Habitat for Humanity

Tank School

Tank School is the nearest neighborhood elementary school and has a high percentage of students who are "at risk."  First Presbyterian Church partners with the school to provide needed supplies in a School Supply Drive in the late summer, people to help students enhance their reading skills through the Reading Buddy Program throughout the school year, Christmas gifts, clothes and food for ten families through the Christmas Prayer Basket Project, coats, hats and mittens through the Kozy Kids Campaign in January and reading material though the Summer Book Drive in May.
