Pastor Katie Estes

Katie began her ministry at FPC in November 2020, bringing more than thirty years of pastoral experience in five different churches. She has served in Houston TX, Tucson AZ, and the Twin Cities area of Minnesota in a variety of ministry roles, and is very pleased to make her home now in Green Bay with her two young adult children. 

Katie is an avid reader, loves to watch her daughter perform in theater productions and her son play soccer, and also enjoys baking and travel.

Mary Belanger

Custodian / Groundskeeper

Mary has been the First Pres Custodian / Groundskeeper at First Pres since 2002. In her role, she cleans and beautifies the church inside and outside, including the yardwork. She most enjoys the outside work during the beautiful Spring, Summer, and Fall months.

Mary enjoys riding her bicycle, playing with grandchildren, and staying fit through healthy eating and performing CrossFit. Mary is married, has four children, eight grandchildren, and one great-grandchild. 

Cheri Simonet

Cheri is a professional with over 20 years’ experience relating to communications, public relations, e-business and multi-media along with digital and traditional marketing skills. With 10 years media-specific experience, including news/magazine print and broadcast television/radio, Cheri’s directed ad operations at the Green Bay Press Gazette, Door County Advocate and WLUK-TV Fox 11. In her spare time, Cheri enjoys writing, gardening and spending time with her three daughters and grandson.

Leah has worked for FPC since 2006. Prior to working at the church she was an insurance agent for over 20 years. She enjoys working at the church, as she was married here, and has been a member since 1978. She knows just about everyone and just enjoys working with and for the members of this church. She is married to Lorin and has one son, Scott and three step-children, nine grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. She enjoys working for the church and helping the members. Her hobbies are gardening, reading and playing Scrabble. 

Lynne Nelson

Lynne began her role with First Pres in October, 2017. She is the Financial Secretary here in addition to keeping the books at three other ministries in Green Bay. Lynne's faithful and dedicated service to God and His people allow her to encourage and support those she serves with. Lynne has been married to her husband Chris for the past 20+ years and together they have four children. She is active in her church, loves cheering on her kids in their sports activities, and enjoys taking family trips and serving the community.

Since July 2006, Bob has served as the Sturgeon Bay High School principal and has been with First Pres since 2016. Prior to becoming a school administrator, Bob taught high school business courses for 23 years. He holds a bachelor's degree from UW – Whitewater and a master's degree from Marian University. Bob’s avocation is that of church musician. He has served as organist in a variety of churches since high school and has also directed church brass, handbell, and vocal choirs. He holds a Church Music Certificate from Silver Lake College. Bob has served as organist at First Presbyterian since June 2016, and is now the Director of Music and Worship Arts. Bob and his wife Mary became members of First Pres in 2016.
